Some of last years photo shoot work

Over the winter months I tend to fill my time thinking of things that would work for competition hair work.

We have a couple of major competitions here in New Zealand run by NZARH our hairdressing association.

A couple of years back I won one of these, specifically targeting long hair. Last year I entered the Editorial section and won the Northland region. I also entered the NZ Industry competitions but didn’t place.

Hayley’s big day

I had been in contact with Haley for about 18months before her wedding. Call it good planning & I have to say far from unusual.

She had planned for a very special day with her family & friends at Waitangi in the Bay of Island.

Her wedding party was a big one, so it was an early start for me.

Six Bridesmaids, the Mother of the Bride and Haley…as I said a big one!

Anyway, images were captured by ‘Emma Rogers your moments’

Videographer was Eric Jordan of ‘Two Little Starfish’

MUA Lynnette Watson of Heavenly Faces

and your truly for hair.

enjoy. Lxx

Kauri Vista – wedding location with a difference

We had a request in early December to do a photo shoot at ‘Kauri Vista’ a lovely location up around the Puketi Forest about 15kms out of Kerikeri.

This is an amazing place and quite beautiful. Perfect for those couples who are after somewhere different for their special day.

Photographer Rachel Jordan of ‘Two Little Starfish’ and Susi Liddington of ‘Susi Liddington Creative’ on styling,

braved the drizzly rain with our gorgeous model Phoebe Slater to capture these images.

Lynnette Watson of ‘Heavenly Faces make up’

and I got Phoebe ready in town and sent her off for a days adventure in beautiful vintage gowns.

Colin Ashton of ‘Wharepuke Cafe’ worked his magic as ever with exquisite food.

Enjoy.

Thanks Laurel

I did Kylie’s hair for her wedding in November. It was a significant time in their lives and a privilege to be apart of.

Here’s what she wrote to tell me. Thanks Kylie xx

Laurel did an amazing job of working out the hair style I was aiming at.

With her easy going manner and creative flare she came up with the perfect style.

Getting ready with Laurel on the day of the wedding was great, no stress, relaxed and lots of fun.

Laurel thank you for creating a look that I look back on and absolutely love.’

Hinera’s midweek wedding

So far I’ve had a few of these midweek weddings, as people mark their dates rather then a day. As ever a very special day.

So to mark their anniversary of being together Hinera & Joseph got married in the beautiful Mahinepua.

These women were stunning as you’ll see and the whole area is just stunning.

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageRachel Jordan of Two Little Starfish worked her magic with her camera, Suzy Poole did gorgeous make up. While Jan & Anita from Neat Eats did the business for their reception.

Keepsake flowers from Whangarei did flowers.

Enjoy, loved these beautiful ones.
