National Finalist For ‘Patrick Cameron Photographic Challenge’ 2013

I’m so stoked with myself.

I have made the top 10 finalist list for the Patrick Cameron Photographic Challenge for the second year in a row.

Last year you may remember I won this competition.

Its the only long Hair competition of it’s kind internationally.

As the country of New Zealand we are very fortunate that Patrick has given back to us in this way.

The prize is a day of one on one training with him.

This is my Model Phoebe after the shoot. She was wonderful. though the weather was spectacular, it was very cold.

Thanks to Jenna Young Photography for her amazing talent of capturing Phoebe.

Also Lynnette Watson for beautiful make up, I loved it.

And my wonderful friend/Stylist Susi Liddington for allowing us the use of her beautiful property ‘Waterford Gardens’ in Kerikeri NZ

Now the wait until October 20 to find out the winner…fingers crossed!!!

The Lovely Lydia – Photoshoot

I met Lydia through a friend.

It was an opportunity to use a model for a competition shoot where she had a beautiful colour (freshly done by myself that day) and her hair up.

I didn’t end up using these photos for the comp, but they are beautiful and worth sharing with you all.

Thanks to Susi Liddington (susiliddington.com) for allowing us to use her bedrooms & finding Lydia for me.

Suzy Poole for make up from Body Divine (bodydivine.co.nz)

Last but not least Alley Rowe for photography (alicephotography.co.nz)

Thanks for the time and effort ladies

Here are some of my favourites.

Tresina 16 Feb 2013

Wow, every wedding is so different. I see this more when I’m involved with more then one over a weekend.

This was one of those weekends.

I went up to Whangaroa on Saturday morning to help get Tresina ready for her Groom.

Tresina had three bridesmaids, all family. As well as her wonderful Mum.

I have to say i love the family involvement with Maori weddings…if you haven’t experienced it you should… they blow me away.

We had a power cut in the middle of the prep, but all good we got there.

Crystal was on make up. you totally rocked it chic

A great day, thanks again

Ana & James – 9 Feb 2013

This was an incredible day, I can’t wait to see how Jess Burges (Exposure Photographics) captured it all.

The details were outstanding, the flowers to die for, not to mention Ana’s dress made by the incredible Sharon Burges.

I had a blast doing Ana and her three bridesmaid’s hair. So cool.

Samantha Bulh was on make up…i love your work Sammy.

And the Groom was in his family tartan Kilt, awesome.

Ana wanted to wear a halo (of flowers) my goodness it was truely amazing, way to go Cherry Blossom.

I have to say this was a stand day, everything so different…I just loved it all.

Thanks for including ladies.

Again these are some of my instagrams
