Your big day takes so much planning and it always approaches quickly. You and I can do a trial before your big day or simply have a consultation to find the look you are after. Please see pricing for costs. Whether you are wanting a casual beach style, elegantly groomed or somewhere in between.
I travel to your destination in the beautiful Bay of Islands or the Northland area to prepare you and your wedding party. I like to keep the preparation for your day as relaxed as possible.
I allow approximately an hour to an hour 30 for each style, while blow-waves for Mothers and your Flower girls take 30-45mins. Refer to Pricing for more specific timing. Please be really mindful of timing when deciding on the start time of your ceremony, as it may be an early start with large wedding parties and early afternoon ceremonies. Time flies on the day, so It’s recommended that getting ready is all you do.
Laurel supplies all that is needed for your style except your hair accessories and Hair Extensions. However Laurel does have accessories & extensions which can be tried out at your trial to help you decide what you’d like. Laurel can also give you recommendations for purchasing.
Please make your booking well in advance so as not to be disappointed at missing out on your planned date.

Maybe it’s ball season? The races? Wedding to attend? Glamorous black tie event? photo shoot? or a special night out? Don’t you just love the excitement of it all!? Well I do too. We want to make you smoking hot, so all eyes are on you. Laurel can come to you or you can make a booking with me in the Salon. It’ll take approximately 1 hour. Don’t forget to find some gorgeous bling or even a fascinator. You’ll be amazed at how it will look.

How do you want my hair on the day? Wash day before (2 shampoos & light condition) and add mousse, blowdry. NO straightening please.
Do you travel & how much will it cost? Yes, Laurel travels to your location, please contact me for a quote.
Do I need to pay a retainer? Yes, retainers hold your date and are non-refundable. refer to T&Cs
Do I need a Trial? It helps polarise your ideas of what you like. It also gives Laurel an opportunity to get to know your style as well as working out which tools and products will work best to achieve the desired style. Please be mindful when requesting a trial in wedding season that most Saturdays will have a wedding. Often a trial can be set down for late afternoon on a Saturday or from Wednesday to Friday in-Salon. Sundays & Monday are not available.
What are your payment methods? Bank deposits, TransferWise (retainer if no NZ bank account) or Paypal. Please refer to Pricing for final balance payments.
What information do you need and how do I contact you? Please use the contact form a few pages over. Laurel will be in contact with you within 24 hours. She will send you an email with a booking form, which you will need to fill out allowing for timing and plans to make your day as seamless as possible.

Terms and Conditions
Retainers
To Confirm my services for the day a non-refundable retainer of $100.00 NZD is due to secure the date you are enquiring about. Final payments of balances are due 7 days prior to your wedding date.
Please note that even after completing your booking form, the confirmation of your booking is at the sole discretion of Laurel Stratford. If you have made the retainer payment and for some reason Laurel can no longer fulfil your requirements your retainer will be refunded, For example, if another booking form is returned for the same date before you return yours and therefore your date becomes unavailable.
Other than at the discretion of Laurel Stratford, your retainer is non-refundable.
If you cancel your booking with Laurel up to one month before your wedding date there will be no further charge due over the retainer. If you cancel your booking with Laurel within a month of your wedding, 50% of the total cost of your wedding will be due.
If you wish to move your booking to another date, this will only be possible if your new date is available. If Laurel is not available on your new date, your retainer will not be refunded.
Covid-19
If you are no longer allowed to proceed with your planned wedding or date of due to a lockdown, postponements are preferable. If the next date that you look at is already booked, Laurel is offering you the opportunity to have your hair styled for the amount of your retainer (for example you may have a special party or photoshoot). This is not transferable into the salon. It is valid for 12 months from your wedding date. As these scenarios are neither parties fault it is preferable both parties had a win. If you cancel you will forfit your retainer.
Start time
Please fill this in on your booking form.
Laurel will discuss with you what is the appropriate time to begin styling on your wedding day. It is usual for your Photographer to want you all ready at least an hour before your ceremony is due to begin. Therefore its Laurel’s aim to have you ready for your Photographer.
Please be mindful of the time required per person for styling (please refer to Pricing) regarding numbers and other scenarios like for example if you are having a ‘First look’.
